Oh, what do I hear from the peanut gallery? I'm not bashing on the stock 's just that the difference/improvement IS that distinct. I DO have a pair of K402's and have heard them side by side. I have owned LaScalas since buying them new in 1979. Side comment: Picture is not of my LaScala. (the K402 is a 2" throat verses the smaller K400/K401 in the LaScala) If you get the chance to walk down this path there's no going back to smaller horns after you've tasted the difference in sound from the larger horn. On a more serious note.everything is true. wakes up and says she's divorcing you.you turn to your newest best friend and say "Game on". Hand your new found best friend attorney a cigar and a martini (probably stirred verses shaken).Īfter your wife comes in, screams.faints. Sit back, be blown away by what you're hearing, the size & scale of the sound (note I didn't say loudness though it will do that too). Your sound from this setup will, in comparison, make the sound from your stock LaScala setup sound more like a toy speaker system for your children.

Take your attorney out once/thrice for dinner to give you some good relations with said attorneyĪnticipate arrival of said K402's (which by the way come with a driver already attached to them). You buy a K402 from Klipsch to set atop your speakers and buy an active crossover (and likely a second amp). Make sure your woofers are working correctly. You retain a good attorney.then you halt everything.
